The Italian national television channel RAI broadcast a special program dedicated to the Karabakh War, placing significant emphasis on post-war mental rehabilitation efforts. Within this context, the activities of the For Azerbaijan organization were brought into focus, with detailed coverage of the psychosocial support we have provided over the years to foster psychological resilience, social recovery, and moral revitalization.
The program particularly highlighted that, while mental rehabilitation initiatives worldwide are often implemented by foreign specialists, in Azerbaijan this process has been established through the training and engagement of local professionals under the initiative of For Azerbaijan. This approach was recognized as a significant turning point in the development of psychological services in the country.
Furthermore, the objectives, significance, and implementation stages of the APRIA project were presented in detail. It was emphasized that three decades of occupation and the subsequent war left profound physical and psychological scars on the region. In the context of Karabakh’s reconstruction, the APRIA project and other programs implemented by For Azerbaijan stand out for their substantial contributions to healing these wounds, restoring communities, and ensuring long-term sustainable development.
This international exposure enabled our organization’s work to gain recognition not only at the national level but also globally, showcasing Azerbaijan’s innovative and sustainable model of psychological rehabilitation to the international community.
