As part of the “Increasing Psychological Rehabilitation Opportunities in Azerbaijan” (APRİA) project, the “For Azerbaijan” organization hosted a presentation for the book “Written Exposure Therapy for PTSD” and the “CPT Coach” mobile application.
The event featured notable speakers, including Zaur Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the ITS; Ulviyya Zeynalova-Bochkin, founding member of “For Azerbaijan”; Ulviyya Jabbarova, Chair of the Board of PASHA Insurance; and Fuad Ismayilov, Director of the Mental Health Center. They highlighted the significance of the book in the scientific community, its educational value, and the effectiveness of the new therapeutic methods being introduced in Azerbaijan for the first time through this project.
The APRİA project, financially supported by PASHA Insurance and partnered with the ITS, aims to enhance psychological rehabilitation processes in Azerbaijan by introducing new rehabilitation techniques.
During the event, the book “Written Exposure Therapy for PTSD”, authored by Denise M. Sloan and Brian P. Marx, was officially presented. This book serves as a key training guide for psychologists practicing Written Exposure Therapy, a leading treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in the United States. Another book, “Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD”, will also be published soon as part of the project.
